Politican's PledgeHelp us get all Canadian Politicians to support KYOTOplus by taking the PledgeThe politicians pledge is a key part of the KYOTOplus movement. We need to pressure all Canadian politicians to get behind tough federal action on global warming. We want all politicians to support the PLEDGE which calls on Canada to cut greenhouse gas emissions by at least 25 per cent from 1990 levels by 2020. International climate scientists say cuts of at least 25 per cent are needed NOW. The pledge also calls on all politicians to make sure Canada supports a new global agreement to strengthen and extend the Kyoto Protocol at the historic United Nations climate change conference in Copenhagen, Denmark in December 2009. KYOTOplus participating organizations are mounting campaigns to get every federal politician to sign. Help ramp up the pressure for positive change in 2009!To help out, check out the lists of MPs Greenpeace Canada is maintaining to see who has signed and who hasn’t. If your MP has signed, send him/her a letter asking him/her to do more. If your MP hasn’t signed the pledge, send him/her a letter asking them to sign.
